Our gardens are
produced by close and considerate consultation,
we believe that you are the most important part of the design process, so we work with you every step of the
way, to make sure you get
the maximum pleasure
and benefit from your
finished garden. |
The Design Process
Visit and consultation
The first part of the process is the site visit, Lauren will make a personal visit to your site. You can discuss your garden and Lauren can discover what you want to achieve with your space and find out all those important details, like how much you hate fuschias, or love them for that matter. We can also discuss whether you just require designs, or if you would like the whole project managed from start to finish.
The Brief
Together we put together a document called a brief. Creating a brief, clarifies in your mind (and the designer’s) exactly what you want to achieve; the must haves, the absolutely nots and the big idea. Also a brief helps a garden design stay focused, and is a great tool for reviewing the designs.
Site Survey
A detailed survey of the site will be carried out. Usually this can be done by us, but if your site is particualrly large or complicated a professional land surveyor may be required.
Initial concepts
Before launching into the final design, as part of the collaborative process of creating your garden, we will produce mood boards and sketch ideas for you. This way you can see where the final designs are heading and input your thoughts and feelings.
The Final Layout Plan
The final layout plan with accompanying sketches and imagery brings to life the vision you have for your perfect outdoor space. Included with you final layout plan will be the details for all the soft landscaping, a planting plan and a planting list.
With a contractor
The advantage of using a professional garden designer is that the plans you recieve will be accurate allowing any contractor to easily quote for and carry out the work you desire. We can also supply construction drawings, setting out plans and a cost estimate as you require, or we can project manage the whole construction of your garden for you, taking out the stress and worry.
Planting
Once all the construction and hard landscaping is done we can source and supply quality plants. We can also supply you with an easy guide to the best way to maintain and care for your garden.
